Project Summary:
The new Ruth’s Chris steakhouse located on 86th street in Indianapolis, IN is set to be one of the premiere steakhouses in the nation. This is a two story; 18,000 sq. ft. building that features an outdoor patio section, private dining areas, and two bar/lounge areas. Huston Electric was chosen to be the electrical contractor of this project, and was in charge of installing all the lighting, lighting control, fire alarm, data, temperature control, and emergency power systems. The lighting package features new and energy efficient LED lights under the bars and in the ceilings, as well as LED cove lighting above dining areas. The lighting control system that was installed is state of the art and is internet based instead of being hardwired. The system allows for entire rooms to be changed from one lighting theme to the next with the push of a button. The steakhouse also features motion sensor lighting, which eliminates the need for switches and decreases energy consumption. The project is set to be completed in August of 2014.
